RUDE, M.S.
President/C.E.O.
With advanced degrees in both business and gerontology, John Rude
has an unusual blend of expertise which spans 30 years of experience
working directly with mature adults.
His background
is broad. John began his career as Director of Personnel and Education
for the nation's largest non-profit health care corporation, then turned
his attention to the fitness industry, becoming nationally-respected
for his pioneering work helping athletic clubs better understand and
attract mature adult exercisers. One of his clients, the Downtown Athletic
Club in Eugene, Oregon, won the IHRSA/Keiser 50+ Gold Award in 1996.
John is President/C.E.O.
of Age Dynamics Inc., a business that provides expertise in the field
of gerontology as it relates to wellness programming, facility design, marketing strategies and communications. ADI has developed wellness centers and award-winning programs for retirement communities, consulting with over 200 clients spanning 40 states.
John is a frequent author for business and professional journals, has been quoted in the New York Times, and is a popular speaker at national conferences. Because he explores the potential side of aging, John is recognized by the fitness/wellness industry as a visionary.

Robin brings over 30 years of national sales and marketing talent
to the table. With additional experience in advertising and public relations,
as well as in the design and development of both print and electronic
media, Robin offers invaluable insights in creating successful, age-appropriate
marketing communications.
DAVID WERNICK, M.A., C.S.C.S.
Exercise Programming/Fitness Testing
David has 20 years of experience in the fitness/wellness industry with 12 of those years dedicated to the older adult population. He has held professional positions as a CCRC wellness center director, consultant, personal trainer, adjunct faculty member, and group exercise leader. David obtained his BS degree in Health and Fitness at Springfield College, and his MA in Exercise Physiology from San Diego State. He is certified by the American Council on Exercise (ACE), and the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA).
David has a keen interest in aging, balance and fall prevention. In 2005, he completed the didactic portion of the Balance and Mobility Specialist Instructor Certification Program offered by California State Fullerton and has implemented the FallProof! program to older adults in the Cincinnati area.
SUE LUNA, B.S.
Exercise Programming/Fitness Testing
With an academic degree in Corporate Fitness, Sue brings to Age Dynamics 18 years of experience working with diverse populations in all aspects of fitness and wellness. During her career she has been a personal trainer, group exercise instructor, and fitness director in several settings including corporate fitness. More recently, her professional career has focused on the mature population where she has managed all start-up responsibilities for two senior living communities and overseeing programming design and development.
Her passion for working with the older adult population has inspired her to develop several unique programs that optimize participant’s functional ability and support their lifestyle.
Sue holds several certifications with the American Council on Exercise (Personal Trainer, Group Exercise Instructor, Lifestyle & Weight Management), is certified by Senior Fitness Association as a Personal Trainer, and is certified in CPR and First Aid.
PAUL HOLBROOK, M.S., C.S.C.S.
Exercise Programming/Fitness Testing
Paul has a Masters degree in Gerontology and has worked at the Human Nutrition Research Center on Aging at Tufts University and the Hebrew Rehabilitation Center for the Aged in Boston, Massachusetts. He is a NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and has worked with mature adults for over 12 years.
Paul is the founder of the AgeWell Center in Salt Lake City, Utah, where he targets the mature adult consumer through a comprehensive personal training program designed to compress morbidity and enhance quality of life.
CYNTHIA
ADAMS, Ph.D.
Educator/Trainer/Researcher
Cynthia holds a Ph.D. in Life Span Developmental Psychology with
a focus on cognitive aging. She is an educator and researcher, specializing
in memory and aging. Her research is published in peer-reviewed journals
including Journal of Gerontology: Psychological Sciences; Psychology
and Aging; and Menopause.
Cynthia is a former Adjunct
Assistant Professor at the University of Oregon and is now an Instructor of Psychology
at Lane Community College. Her dynamic presentations on "New Views
of the Aging Mind" and "Enhancing Your Memory" consistently
receive rave reviews from audiences of all ages.
